Dash Cam Video Released In Crosstown Tulsa Police Chase

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

We have an update on a Tulsa Police chase from late July.

Tulsa police released the dash cam video of that pursuit Friday afternoon.

Officers started chasing a car after getting reports that it was speeding and running red lights near 51st and Peoria. The car stopped at one point on I-44, just west of the Highway 75 interchange.  But then took off again, driving erratically.

At one point, he swerved when a police unit tried to block him.  Another officer did a pit maneuver and ran the man off the road outside Sapulpa.

They broke out a car window and used pepper balls to force him out.

Police are looking into whether he has mental health issues.
