TULSA, Oklahoma - A thief is still on the run after surveillance cameras caught him breaking into the HobbyTown store near 71st and Memorial.

Managers say the store has been targeted at least five times in the past five months.

The glass door has since been repaired and owners have done a good job of cleaning up, but after the crook came crashing in, the feeling of being violated is taking a little longer to go away.

"It's very trying. You don't know if the next customers that walks in is that someone that's just gonna walk back, grab some vehicles and run," store manager Ellen Moore said.

Moore got the call around 6:00 Wednesday morning saying someone had burglarized the store.

Over the past few months, there have been several shoplifters, burglary attempts, and now this.

"You can choose to do something different - it comes down to you…choosing and wanting to be a better person," Moore said.

Surveillance video shows a man drive up in what looks like an early 2000-model Mercedes E430. He looks through the window then goes back to his car. Moments later, he crashes through the glass door and immediately runs behind the counter and starts pulling down items.

Moore said, "It really did seem like he's been in the store a number of times before, and he did take a little bit of time at the door - looking in with a flashlight like he was planning exactly what he was gonna do."

He knocks a few things down but picks up two drones. After that, he heads to the register and snatches a cash drawer.

When he leaves, he calmly places the items in the back seat and slowly drives off.

The cost of the stolen merchandise, money in the drawer and damage, is about $2,000.

Not related to the robberies, but the store plans to relocate at the end of August.
