Sitting in the News 9 parking lot for just under an hour Thursday, a murder suspect was waiting to be arrested. The man who brought him was his own uncle.

“I turned on the news like I normally do, channel 9 and I saw my nephew was wanted for murder along with another young lady,” Eugene Moore said.

His nephew is 28-year-old Michael Tyrone Webb Jr.. He along with 26-year-old Tempest Sashay Williams are being charged with murder and robbery after the death of a 28-year-old man last weekend in northwest OKC.

Moore works part time as an armed security guard. He said he was able to convince his nephew to turn himself in and it worked.

“I let him understand that it's a very serious matter, a very serious charge. Emotions will start to flare after time goes by and you should turn yourself in and get this cleared up,” Moore said.

Moore says his nephew Webb Jr. had asked to meet on neutral ground so they chose the News 9 parking lot. But most of all Moore says the whole ordeal was just the right thing to do.

“He's a good kid,” Moore said adding it was a difficult decision. “It's about right and wrong. He's my nephew and I love him, I mean, I have children. If you do wrong there are consequences, no matter what the circumstances are."

Oklahoma City police arrested Webb Jr., who was handed over to the county. The woman he's charged alongside however, is still at large.
