Multi-Vehicle Crash Blocks Downtown Tulsa I-244 Exit Ramp

A six vehicle crash involving a semi on the northwest leg of the IDL caused a massive traffic backup on Interstate 244 in downtown Tulsa Wednesday morning.

EMSA says no one was seriously injured in the crash just after 7:30 a.m. on the westbound exit ramp to Martin Luther King Boulevard.  

It appeared the semi collided with a Chrysler Pacifica and both vehicles rolled up the embankment then back down to the side of the ramp. Another car ended up above them on the embankment. 

Three more vehicles, a car, pickup and an SUV were sideswiped by the semi at the top of the exit ramp.  

The accident backed up eastbound traffic on the IDL for several miles.
