Former Locust Grove Standout Mason Fine Impresses In North Texas Season Opener

True freshman Mason Fine has impressed the coaches at North Texas since stepping on campus.

The Locust Grove native came in late against SMU Saturday and led UNT on a touchdown drive.

Head coach Seth Littrell says Fine will see more playing time this week against Bethune-Cookman.

"It's unbelievable. He doesn't get rattled. He just doesn't,” said Littrell. “He's very calm. He's poised.  He's very confident. He knows the system. He's played in a similar system in high school, so he feels comfortable. He's just got to continue to develop and grow and get more comfortable as he goes, and he will."
