Cash And Kadhe Become First Cowboy Tennis Duo To Reach Top Of ITA Rankings

Oklahoma State’s top tennis duo, Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe, were ranked the No. 1 doubles team in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) today. They become the first doubles team in Cowboy history to reach to top spot in the rankings.

"This is an amazing accomplishment for Arjun and Julian, as well as for the university as a whole," head coach Jay Udwadia said. "The consistent performances that those two have put on are being rewarded with this amazing honor. We're looking forward to seeing them do some special things this year and continuing to develop as players and help our program continue to grow. We're going to do our best to hold onto that top spot and then get the rest of our team up there with them."

Cash and Kadhe are coming off an All-American season in which they won 34 matches. They are each ranked in the Top 100 individually as well with Cash ranked No. 29 and Kadhe ranked No. 87.

"It feels great to be the first OSU doubles team to be No. 1," Kadhe, a senior, said. "That was one of our goals and a special thanks to Coach Udwadia as he put in a lot of effort working on doubles. I'm excited and motivated to get my final season started."

Cowboy tennis heads to the Cajun Classic in Lafayette, La. beginning Sept. 22nd.
