Oklahoma Department of Wildlife game wardens in Cherokee County are offering a reward for whoever killed two fawns this week near Lake Tenkiller.

The wardens says the two deer were found late Monday in the Big Hollow area. Game wardens say one of the fawns was already dead and the other still alive, but had to be put down.  Both had been shot with a rifle.

The ODWC is calling this a "thrill kill," because the deer were left to die.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked the call Operation Game Theft at 800-522-8039 or download the Operation Game Thief Reporting Form, which you fill out and send as an attachment to bryan.wilkerson@odwc.ok.gov.

Last year, the Wildlife Department paid out over $1,800 in rewards.
