EMSA says it’s prepared for any injuries or medical issues at the Tulsa State Fair this year.

Paramedics and EMTs are there every day with medical carts ready to treat patients.

With big crowds, they're able to get to people who need help much faster than waiting for an ambulance to show up and get through the crowds.

Still, EMSA paramedic Chase Coates says major injuries at the fair are rare.

"Actually Band-Aids. You'd be surprised with how many people have blisters or little small scrapes and bruises,” he said. “Occasionally you get the person who has an upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, seizures are common because of all the lights and the noises."

EMSA reminds us that even though the weather is cool, it's still important to stay hydrated at the fair.
