The Tulsa chapter of the National Alliance of Mental Illness kicked off Mental Illness Awareness Week Sunday.
A candlelight vigil was held Sunday night to remember those who have died as a result of mental illness.
There are several other events planned throughout the week, including a free lunch, a national day of prayer and a MIAW reception meet and greet.
The group will also have a “Lucy Booth” in various locations around downtown Tulsa.
