A powerful storm system is moving through the central plains on Tuesday. This will force a dry line into central Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon.

The gulf moisture is somewhat limited, so the number of storms will be lower than a classic severe pattern. Isolated storm chances will develop ahead of the dry line in western Oklahoma after 2 p.m. These storms will approach central Oklahoma around 5 to 8 p.m.

There will be a lot of spin in the atmosphere so I do expect super cell type storms. Tuesday's storms greatest threats will be hail up to the size of tennis balls, wind gusts to 70 and an isolated tornado or two. Best threat for severe weather and tornadoes will be north of Oklahoma City near the KS border.
