Tulsa Police said a driver got away after a pursuit that started around 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016. An officer on patrol tried to pull over a 1999 Honda Civic after it passed him going at a high speed near 2nd and Memorial, according to police.

The juvenile driver sped off then abandoned the car near Admiral and Mingo, leaving two people - ages 14 and 17 - behind in the vehicle, reports show. Police tried to track the suspect using a K-9 team but didn't locate him. He was last seen around Boeing Park.

Officers said the car had a broken steering column, leading them to believe it was stolen, but they hadn't yet found the owner. The two juvenile passengers were handcuffed at the scene, questioned and released to their parents.
