Returning Coffeyville Soldier Surprises Daughter At School

A soldier returning home from active duty surprised his daughter at school in Coffeyville Monday.

Sergeant First Class Jake Fontes just completed his fourth tour of duty in Afghanistan. He surprised his daughter, Ashlynne, at Roosevelt Middle School.

He was gone for nearly a year, but Ashlynne had no trouble recognizing him.

SFC Fontes has 17 years of military service.
