Records show Ferguson is sitting in jail on a first-degree murder charge.

A small memorial at 76th Street North and Mingo in Owasso is a reminder of the crash that killed Johnson back in June.

Troopers said they started chasing Ferguson after spotting him in a stolen pickup from Tulsa. Minutes later, the chase crossed into the county, ending in a bad crash.

"You could've just killed somebody," you hear troopers yell in the video.

Troopers ordered Ferguson to the ground, then, turned to help Johnson.

Trooper 1: "She OK? She OK?”
Trooper 2: "No."

An ambulance was called, but the mother of four and grandmother of five died from her injuries.

Her son, Eric Johnson, told us back in June she was on her way to church that Sunday.

"I guess the thing I'm gonna miss the most is the love. I mean, when you sum it up, that's all she was about, everything she did was out of love," he said.

Johnson's family said the "The silence is gonna be tough," and they'll be "waiting for a knock that never comes."

Ferguson has another court date set for next month.
