The lawsuit against OU running back Joe Mixon, filed by Ameila Molitor in San Francisco, will be tried in an Oklahoma City courtroom.

Attorney’s representing Mixon successfully motioned to transfer the suit from California to Oklahoma. A trial date has not yet been set.

Molitor is suing Mixon for damages for negligence, willful and wanton misconduct, punitive damages and intentional infliction of emotional distress as a result of an altercation inside Pickleman’s restaurant on Campus Corner in Norman on July 25, 2014.

In surveillance video that was not released to the public, Mixon is seen punching Molitor with a closed fist after she slapped him during some kind of altercation.

Mixon was suspended from the football team for one year and he was charged with a misdemeanor count of an act resulting in gross injury.

According to the suit, Molitor is seeking compensation for her medical expenses, compensation for her "severe emotional distress, including, but not limited to, humiliation, embarrassment, anger, grief, anxiety, fright, horror, depression, disappointment, worry, distrust, and disconnect," and punitive damages. The suit did not specify a dollar amount.

Molitor has also filed a suit against Pickleman’s in Oklahoma City.
