Police: Vian Woman Fatally Stabs Husband With Fillet Knife

Police arrested a Vian woman after they say she fatally stabbed her husband with a fillet knife on Tuesday.

KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas reports 45-year-old Michelle Scoggins told police she stabbed the victim while she was cooking.

Vian Police Chief Ted Johnson says 48-year-old Billy Mar was taken to a Fort Smith hospital with a stab wound to the stomach.  He was pronounced Wednesday.

Michelle Scoggins was booked into the Sequoyah County jail where she is being held without bond pending the filing of formal charges.
