Trial Date For Tulsa Man Charged In April 2016 Shooting Death

A trial date has been set for a Tulsa man charged with second-degree murder in an April 2016 shooting death.

Blaine Butcher's trial is scheduled for April 17, 2017.

Police say Butcher, 37, shot a woman at a home in the 3900 block of East 2nd Street.  The victim later died at a Tulsa hospital.

During a hearing Monday, a judge also denied a reduction of Butcher's $500,000 bond.
