Some Muskogee residents were without water service Wednesday as crews worked on a 12-inch water line that split around 10 a.m. in the 3200 block of North York Street.

Around 4:00 p.m., the City said repairs to the line were completed and crews were in the process of loading the line.

The City of Muskogee reported the split in the line on its Facebook page and said crews shut down the line to repair it.

The areas affected included the Country Club Golf Course along Harris Road to York Street, the town of Okay and possibly the town of Porter, the city stated.

The neighborhoods on the north and south of Harris Road could also have been impacted.
