ORU Women's Hoops To Honor Native American Heritage During PSO Mayor's Cup Game

The Oral Roberts women's basketball team will honor Native American Heritage during the PSO Mayor's Cup game against the University of Tulsa on Thursday, November 17 at the Mabee Center.

The ORU women's basketball team will wear warm-up shirts during the team's pregame shoot around that were provided by Nike N7 as well as shoes during the game. Nike N7 is a program sponsored by Nike that supports Native American charities. After the game, ORU women's basketball student-athletes Ashley and Lakota Beatty will sign autographs.

“We are honored to feature our local Native American culture at the PSO Mayor's Cup game.  Lakota and Ashley's participation will make it even more special," ORU Senior Associate Athletic Director Scott Higgins said.

ORU has won the last two PSO Mayor's Cup games. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. and tickets are $7 for adults and all kids 13 and under are free with a paid adult ticket. To order tickets, call (918) 495-6000, log on to mabeecenter.com, or purchase them at the door.
