Police arrested a man and woman after two chases in two different stolen cars early Saturday.

They are identified as 27-year-old Jeremiah Seals of Tulsa and 23-year-old Cassandra Gifford of Claremore.

The first chase started at about 3:30 a.m. when an OHP trooper spotted a Honda going 100 m.p.h. west on Interstate 44 near Peoria.  Troopers lost sight of the car when it go off at the Riverside Drive exit.

The OHP and police found the car abandoned behind an IHOP restaurant at 71st and Lewis about 45 minutes later. They said the car had been stolen.

At about that same time, police started chasing a stolen Cadillac with Seals and Gifford inside west on 71st Street near Lewis.  Police say at one point in the chase, Jeremiah Seals was going the wrong way on Highway 75 without its headlights on.

Officers used stop sticks to flatten the Cadillac's tires causing it to go off the highway and crash into a ditch near 91st and Union.

Police said Seals and Gifford got out and ran.  Officers located Cassandra Gifford hiding in a nearby home's garage and arrested her.  Jeremiah Seals was tracked down and arrested a short time later.

Seals was booked into the Tulsa County jail on first-degree burglary and larceny complaints and Gifford was booked on second-degree burglary and joyriding complaints.  Jail records show both have court appearances set for November 10th.
