Soft Drink Truck Crash Stops Traffic On Cherokee Turnpike

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 7 Up semi overturned on the Cherokee Turnpike Saturday morning, closing the westbound lanes for several hours.

The crash happened just before 8:15 a.m. at the Highway 59 interchange in Delaware County.

Westbound traffic on the turnpike was forced to exit onto Highway 59.  

Troopers say just before 10:30 a.m. the westbound lanes were reopened.

The OHP says the truck's driver was not seriously injured.  

Cause of the crash remains under investigation.
