BBB Warns Of Scams Targeting Veterans And Their Families

A new warning from the Better Business Bureau on scams targeting Oklahoma's military families.

The BBB of Eastern Oklahoma says nearly 10 percent of scams target active duty members or their families.

BBB says those scams include:

• Identity Theft Scams
• Mortgage Foreclosure-prevention Scams 
• Pension and Life Insurance Scams 
• Payday Loans and Cash Advances 
• Bogus Sales
• Charity Scams

The BBB says the reason is it is harder for active duty personnel to see and resolve issues while out of the country.
