What can white people do to help race relations? That's what many hoped to have answered at the World Cafe on Race event at All Souls Church in Tulsa.
The goal is to inspire community conversations in an intimate setting.
Groups of people spent 15 minutes talking to each other, then, changed groups to repeat the process.
Leaders here hope people will come up with action plans that people can use when they encounter racism.
"Teach your children, talk to your parents, talk to people who don't come to stuff like this because the people who come to stuff like this are not the problem. It's the people who don't come and won't come to something like this who need to be reached out to," Deonne Lambert said.
Organizers said they plan to hold more events like this in the future.
