Tulsa Man Shot In Chest When He Answers Knock At Door

Police say one man was shot early Tuesday when he answered a knock at the door.  

Officers said they were called to the Stonecrest Apartments in the 4000 block of South 130th East Avenue just before 5:30 a.m.

They said a man who lives in the apartment, answered the door and was shot twice by an unknown assailant in the chest.  

Police said EMSA took the victim to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.

They said one round went through the wall, into an adjacent apartment hitting a sliding glass door.  No one in that apartment was injured.

Police said the victim's wife and baby were not injured as well.
