Police recovered a car stolen from a Tulsa convenience store earlier this week after a brief chase early Wednesday.

The car, stolen from the Kum & Go at Apache and Harvard was spotted by an officer near 21st and Memorial leaving a QuikTrip store just before 2 a.m.

Police say the driver sped off.  About a block away, the driver jumped out of the moving car.  Officers said the car then hit another car parked at the Heatheridge Retirement Center in the 2100 block of South 85th East Avenue.

A search by police K-9 officers and their helicopter failed to locate the driver.

Police say they now know who he is and expect a warrant to be issued for his arrest.
