Tulsa Settles Lawsuit Stemming From 2012 Crash

The City of Tulsa has agreed to settle a lawsuit stemming from a 2012 crash involving a city vehicle and a motorcycle rider.

According to court documents, the accident happened on May 31, 2012 when a city truck turned into the path of a motorcycle at 15th and Peoria.  

The motorcycle rider, Michael Stiger was injured and was left with substantial injuries and medical bills.  His lawyers filed the lawsuit in 2013 after his tort claim with the city was denied in 2012.

According to the settlement approved by the City in May, the City agreed to pay $170,000 without admitting negligence.
