Silver Alert Canceled For 78-Year-Old McAlester Woman With Dementia

The Oklahoma Department of Safety has canceled the Silver Alert for a 78-year-old woman who suffers from dementia and went missing Saturday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety issued a Silver Alert Monday evening for Nellie Wallis, who is described as a white woman who wears glasses and was wearing a diamond wedding band. 

On Tuesday afternoon, they canceled the alert but provided no information on whether she had been found safely.

DPS said Wallis has a medical/physical disability. 

We contacted McAlester Police and are waiting to hear back from them.
