• Jawun Evans entered Monday's game against UConn ranked 26th in the country in scoring, and only improved that mark with a 35-point performance against the Huskies - his third career 30-point game. The Bob Cousy Award and Naismith Trophy watch list selection leads all Big 12 players with an average of 26.3 points per game this year.
• OSU piled up 18 steals against UConn, which is tied for the third most in school history, and just one steal behind the school record. Evans led the way with five steals and Phil Forte wasn't far behind with four. OSU forced 14 first-half steals, which are the most in school history in a single half of basketball.
• The Cowboys hit 12 of their 20 3-point attempts on Monday night, which is good for a mark of 60 percent - tied for the eighth best night in school history. OSU is now shooting 41.0 percent from the floor as a team.
• Brad Underwood scored his 93rd career victory in just his 107th game. That .870 win percentage is tops among all active Division I coaches.
• Oklahoma State had reached the 100-point plateau in each of its first three games this year, and is averaging 104.8 points per game this season. The Cowboys had reached the century mark in three straight games only one other time in program history, in 1993-94.
• Cameron McGriff reached double-figures for the first time in his OSU career in the win over UConn. The freshman piled up 13 points.
• Phil Forte racked up 18 points against UConn, but his free throw streak has come to an end. The senior had made 24 straight dating back to last season. On the year, Forte is averaging 21.0 points on 42.9 percent from 3-point and is 24-of-25 (.960) from the stripe.
• Jeffrey Carroll continued his hot start to the season with 18 points and nine rebounds. The redshirt-junior is the only Big 12 player averaging at least 18 points and eight rebounds per game.
• The Cowboys have gone with the same starting lineup in each of the last three games: Evans, Forte, Waters, Hammonds and Solomon.
• The Cowboys led wire to wire against UConn and broke the game open with a 15-0 run capped off by a Jawun Evans 3-pointer with 14:06 left in the first that made the score, 18-3.
• OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 519 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001.
• The Cowboys are 4-0 on the young season and has an opportunity to move to 5-0 against the Tar Heels. OSU was 4-1 after five games last season but started 5-0 in the three seasons prior to that.
