Little Axe Boy Recovering From Burn Wounds In Dallas Hospital

A Little Axe boy is recovering after a fire pit accident over the weekend.

Family members of the nine-year-old burn victim, Austin Norton, say he was first taken to OU Medical but he's now being treated at a Dallas hospital for second- and third-degree burns.

Family says Austin was playing near a fire pit when the accident happened. According to relatives, Austin poured gasoline on some embers that ignited and caused the gas can he was holding to explode.

Family says his mother put out the fire within seconds.

While he recovers, Austin's friends and family have set up a GoFundMe page that has raised more than $3,100.
