Washington County District Attorney's Office says they will not be pursue charges against a Bartlesville Police officer who shot and killed a man in October.

In a news release from DA Kevin Buchanan says his office made its decision after getting the results of an investigation conducted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

On October 26th, police were called to a home on Edgewood Avenue near Frank Phillips Boulevard about a disturbance.

They said 36-year-old William Cole hit an officer in the face as they tried to stop him from attacking a woman at the home. Police said the officer then used his Taser on Cole, who continued to attack the officer.  They said the officer then fired his weapon several times at Cole.

William Cole was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The OSBI was called in to conduct the investigation.
