The U.S. Marshals Services arrested a convicted sex offender in Guatemala.
In a news release, the service said Roger Huddleston was convicted in a California federal court in a 2008 case for possession of child pornography.
They said he was released in 2011 and placed on federal supervision and was to be monitored by the Northern District of Oklahoma.
In 2015, they say Huddleston left his supervision and became a fugitive, the news release says.
Through an investigation, Deputy U.S. Marshal Breland Speaks was able to find Huddleston in Antigua, Guatemala. Huddleston was arrested by Guatemalan authorities and the U.S. Marshals Service on December 12 and returned to the U.S.
Huddleston is currently being held and is waiting to be transported to Tulsa to face charges.
