Police Hunt Suspect In Tulsa Hit And Run

A man is in the hospital, and police are looking for a driver they say hit him and drove off near Interstate 44 and South Yale.

Sergeant Aaron Tallman tell us the 46 year old who was rushed to the hospital is stable and -while he's in not in good shape after being hit by a car, the sergeant says he's better off than they thought considering his injuries.

Around 10:45p.m. Monday, December 26, police say the victim was crossing Yale at Skelly.  Police say a white, smaller four-door car driving north hit the man near the driveway of the Red Roof Inn and drove off.

Officers tell us they are trying to find witnesses and video of the hit and run.    

The kicker is that the sergeant told us this likely didn't become an illegal situation until the driver decided to leave the scene.

Police say the car will have damage on the right front side - and if you see it, you should call police.
