After several hours, a standoff near 31st and Garnett ended peacefully Friday night.

Tulsa police say it started at a different location - the S&K Food Mart in the 2100 block of North Sheridan around 5:45 p.m.

Tulsa police are involved in a standoff after locating a vehicle believed connected to a fatal shooting.

Police said a person entered the store with a semi-automatic handgun; they said there was some kind of confrontation and the clerk was shot and killed.

Officer Leland Ashely said just after 6:00 p.m. there was a second robbery nearby; it’s unknown if they are connected.

Then, just before 7:00 p.m. a vehicle that matched the vehicle description at the fatal shooting was seen at the Meadows Apartments near 31st and Garnett.

Ashley said three people ran from the vehicle.

He said police surrounded the complex and one person came out of the attic and was taken into custody.

Police shot several rounds of pepper ball into the attic, hoping to get the other two to go outside. Around 10:30 p.m., Ashely said the men left the complex peacefully and were taken into custody.

No names have been released at this time.
