Flooding is impacting travel in Cherokee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed  several roads in Cherokee County including State Highway 80 around five miles south of State Highway 51 between Hulbert and Fort Gibson.

Amy Slanchik was at Pecan Creek on 4 Mile Road south of Hulbert where rapidly flowing water was pouring over the bridge. That's not far from Sequoyah State Park.

Pecan Creek was reopened around 8:30 a.m. after crews cleared a tree and other debris.

Oklahoma Gas & Electric said about 200 customers lost power early Saturday in the Ft. Gibson area.

Remember to "turn around, don't drown," if you see water over a roadway. Find an alternate route.
