This weekend, 50 states will be represented as 30,000 rock fans make their way to Pryor for Rocklahoma, but severe weather could be the real showstopper.

Friday was day one of the three-day festival, and while there is a weather plan in place, the folks attending are more concerned about having a good time.

It’s Jennifer Haddix's fourth year to rock out in Pryor; a tradition she shares with her entire family.

“The best party in the world,” Haddix said. “The love of rock ‘n roll...the family camaraderie...it's just a great place to get together and enjoy music, friends, family. You meet great people here. It's a good time.”

She said it's a blast, even if the weather's not so great.

“I was here at ‘Mudlahoma,’ so it's all good,” she said.

Haddix is talking about the 2015 show when torrential rain forced fans to leave the Saturday night show.

A similar scenario could play out this Saturday, and Rocklahoma's Executive Producer Joe Litvag said they'll be ready.

“For us, it's all about safety, that's the most important thing. We don't want to ruin anybody's fun but we have to keep everybody safe, that's a responsibility we take very seriously,” he said.

Litvag said there are four weather events that could stop the show - lightning, heavy rain, strong winds or large hail.

Rock fans are hoping the skies stay sunny, but if bad weather does blow through, fans will be asked to go to their cars or campsites until it’s safe for the fun to start again.

“We're still gonna have a great time. Still gonna party. We're still gonna listen to rock and roll,” Haddix said.

Rocklahoma wraps up Sunday afternoon and there are still tickets available if you're interested in heading out to Pryor.
