Jay Man Hurt In Crash During OHP Chase

Posted: Updated:

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Jay man is in a Joplin hospital after he crashed during a chase in Delaware County Thursday night.

Troopers said Joshua Wynn, 29, was headed east on a county road when the OHP clocked his 2007 Mitsubishi SUV going 58 mph in a 45 mph speed zone.

The OHP report stated a trooper tried to stop Wynn who turned off the SUV's lights and sped off.  The report says a short time later Wynn lost control of the SUV and it rolled four times on a county road northeast of Grove.

The OHP said Wynn suffered multiple injuries in the crash and medical helicopter flew him to a Joplin hospital.

An ambulance took a passenger in the SUV -- Arabella Woods, 40, of Springfield, Missouri -- to a Joplin hospital.
