Swan Lake Area Residents Rescue Wounded Goose

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

People in the Swan Lake area are on the lookout for someone shooting blowgun darts at animals.

Neighbors noticed a duck with a dart sticking out of its left eye.

One man got out on the water in his kayak Saturday to try catching the duck.

Neighbors say a goose is also being checked out by a vet after it appears to have a dart in its chest.

Nancy Lile reached out for help after her husband spotted the duck in trouble while on a walk.

"It actually made us both sick to our stomach, to think that it was in that kind of pain,” said Lile. “It has to be painful."

Tulsa firefighters were also on standby for the attempt to rescue the duck.
