TULSA, Oklahoma -

The final day of Tulsa Tough wrapped up with an event like no other - Cry Baby Hill.

Crowds lined the streets around the race route to party like the champions they're watching.

Outrageous outfits and behavior are the norm, but organizers and racing fans try to stop short of taking the party into the path of competing cyclists. "Mind the gap" becomes the battle cry to keep the fans out of the way.

The last day of racing takes place in the historic Riverview neighborhood around 13th and Riverside. Cyclist grind up a steep hill - over and over in the closed circuit race.

Overall Tulsa Tough winners in 2017 for both men and women were Australians.

Australian Peta Mullens won the women's pro race at the River Parks Criterium - as it's more formally known. She also won the overall women's event.

On the men's side, Ayden Toovey conquered Cry Baby Hill, but Aussie Scott Law was the overall winner.

Cyclist Stephan Hoffman of Team CLIF Bar said he had to Google Cry Baby Hill to understand what other riders on his team were talking about.

"They were like, ‘There's this race, it's called Cry Baby Hill,’ and they just started talking about. It was the most intense, crazy thing. It was so much fun. It was so hard. Then, I Googled it and I see like a massive crowd; so, for me, I wanted to come and do this because it just sounded nuts," he said.

Cry Baby Hill took place after two days of hard racing, so it challenges all the riders who take part in the annual event.
