TULSA, Oklahoma -

A little girl is in serious condition at the hospital after a condo fire in east Tulsa Monday.

Fire authorities say her injuries are likely from smoke inhalation and that they did not see any burns on her body.

She is in the hospital in serious condition.

Tulsa firefighters say the call came in around 7:00 p.m. at the Oak Brook Village Condos at 11th and Garnett. They arrived to find flames in an upstairs bedroom in a condo unit and immediately went in to search for people inside.

They found the little girl and took her to the hospital.

Firefighters say the fire started in the bedroom that the little girl was in and they believe it was accidental. Investigators are sorting through the scene to determine the cause.

The girl's grandmother and two other children escaped with no injuries.

Andrew Fulton got on scene before the firefighters did. He saved the family by climbing on the roof, kicking out the upstairs windows and alerting the grandmother their home was on fire.

He says he's an Army veteran and his training kicked in.

“That little girl that they just took, I hope that she's OK. I really do. I wish that I could've done more, but I just couldn't go in there. I tried my best,” Fulton said.

Two apartments are a total loss and at least two others have smoke damage.

Four families will have to find temporary housing.

The Red Cross is helping the families find housing.
