A 42-year-old man was taken to a Tulsa hospital Friday morning with multiple injuries after a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-244 near 23rd Street South.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report, Brian Smith of Tulsa, was driving north on I-244 when his 2005 Dodge pickup left the road for an unknown reason and struck a guardrail.

Troopers said Smith's truck rolled multiple times before striking a second guardrail and finally coming to a stop on its wheels.

Smith was pinned for about 20 minutes before being rescued by Tulsa firefighters.

He was taken by EMSA to the hospital with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Troopers said he is stable.

The report cites unsafe speed as the cause of the collision.
