Crash At Tulsa's Gathering Place Ends Police Chase

A police chase ended at Tulsa's Gathering Place and sent a man to jail.

He is identified as Darrel Johnson, 45, of Tulsa.

Police say they tried to stop Johnson for a traffic violation near 54th and Harvard, but instead of pulling over, he kept on going.

The pursuit went up Riverside Drive where an officer says Johnson crashed his car into a dirt embankment in the construction area at The Gathering Place.

Police booked Darrel Johnson into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including eluding, reckless driving and driving under suspension.
