Tulsa Bridge Inspections To Result In Lane Closures

The City of Tulsa says drivers should expect lane closures on three street bridges over the Arkansas River this week.  

They say the reason is workers will be inspecting the underside of those bridges Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, September 5 - 71st Street bridge, with the eastbound outside lane closed 
• Wednesday, September 6 - 21st Street bridge, with the westbound outside lane closed
• Thursday, September 7 - 11th Street bridge, with the westbound outside lane closed

In a news release, the City of Tulsa says inspections underneath the bridges are conducted every two years and the surfaces of the bridges are inspected in the years alternating between the underside inspections.
