A Tulsa woman now has a home of her own that to Habitat for Humanity.

The organization dedicated the home Wednesday afternoon for its 390th family.

Adriaune McIntosh said she raised four children in rental properties, and owning her own home is a dream come true.

Habitat volunteers met on Gillette Avenue to celebrate the construction of the home.

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Lowes to complete the home in honor of their 10th annual National Women Build week - a week designed to bring together women to dedicate at least one day to help build affordable housing in their community.

McIntosh has worked for years to provide stability for her and her children.

After several months of planning, and about 350 hours of learning and building alongside Habitat volunteers, McIntosh she appreciates the journey.

"Owning my first home is like the greatest accomplishment I've done in my life. It was a long journey, I had some ups and downs along the way. Habitat was very supportive," she said.
