Pleasant Weather Continues For Eastern Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Super-great-awesome-pre-fall weather continues.   That pretty much sums it up.   But, of course, there will be a few small wrinkles to deal with over the next 7 days.   One such minor issue is a weak upper level wave that will drop across the northwest flow into northwest Oklahoma tonight into Friday morning.   The odds of any precipitation reaching our area seem almost nil.  But I suppose a few showers will be possible across northwest Oklahoma into north central Oklahoma Friday morning through midday with a few clouds.   I have not included this low precipitation chance in our forecast package but we may see a few clouds occasionally Friday due to this wave.

Otherwise it appears to be a temp forecast for the next few days with no major system near our immediate area.   South winds will return today and help to slowly increase temps and humidity for the weekend with morning lows in the lower to mid-60s and highs in the mid-80s.   Another surface front should cross the area early next week, probably Monday, and bring another shot of slightly drier air again to the region.

This morning will again be rather cool with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.   Daytime highs will be slightly warmer than yesterday’s upper 70s with highs today in the lower 80s and plenty of sunshine.

Friday morning starts with a few clouds and a sprinkle or two across northwestern Oklahoma.   Lows will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s with highs in the lower to mid-80s.

The weekend will feature lows in the lower to mid-60s and highs in the mid-80s along with south winds around 10 to 15 mph and mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions.

Monday a front arrives with a low near 62 and highs in the mid-80s.   Tuesday morning lows will be in the upper 50s with highs in the lower 80s along with north winds at 10 to 15 mph.
