Street lights are back on, at least along one Tulsa highway.

With the lights, drivers can now actually see the roadway instead of driving down a darken corridor.

The lights are back on along Highway 75 between Apache and the IDL.

Crews have been working in the area for the past few weeks to get those lights back on.  This is something the City of Tulsa has been working on for awhile.

The city says one of the biggest hurdles is copper thieves pulling out wiring after it was installed in the light poles.

At its peak, more than half of the city's 6,000 street and highway lights were disabled.

The city says crews continue to work on other highways across Tulsa and anticipate additional lights coming back on in the near future.
