A jury has found a man guilty of first-degree murder in the 1994 murder of a Tulsa woman.

Leroy Gilbert was charged with first-degree murder in Goodou's 1994 death.

Her then 13-year-old daughter found Goodou brutally murdered in the family's home.

Police have been searching for her killer since.

Investigators recently matched DNA and fingerprints found at the crime scene with Leroy Gilbert, a man who lived a mile away from Goodou when she was murdered.

His trial has lasted four days with closing arguments happening Thursday morning.

The prosecution said Gilbert's fingerprints and DNA prove his presence at the murder scene and his attack on Goodou.

The defense made the argument of timing.

They said Gilbert helped Goodou around the house and that's why his fingerprints were found on evidence from the home.

The defense also claims Gilbert and the victim had a sexual relationship and that explains his DNA.
