Man Fighting For Life After Shooting At Tulsa Club

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man shot early Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Tulsa Club is fighting for his life.

Police say it happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Retro Club, near north Peoria and 2-44.

They say a man in his early 30s was shot several times in the parking lot and was taken to the hospital by his girlfriend.

The suspects fled the scene, but police spotted the vehicle and took two people into custody and recovered a gun in the car.

Tulsa Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker said the victim is alive and is in surgery but that it doesn't look good for him.

"Looks like there's the potential of a shooting that will lead to a murder, with a suspect in custody downtown,” he said. “That's where we're gonna head to figure it out."

If the victim dies, this will be Tulsa's 67th homicide of the year.
