Tulsa Airbnb Town Hall Meetings Continue

Tulsa city councilors are holding another town hall meeting Wednesday to talk about how to address short-term rental properties, like Airbnb.

City leaders say they need to know where local residents stand on these properties. That's why they are hosting a second town hall meeting starting at 11:30 a.m. at Tulsa Community College's Center for Creativity at 910 South Boston.

The city says its having a hard time figuring out what's a long-term or short-term rental.

The councilors held a public meeting Tuesday evening, where they heard from people who operate rentals, such as Airbnb, VRBO or HomeAway.

There were also neighbors at the meeting, who said they don't want to see random people renting in their neighborhoods, expressing concerns over safety.

Right now, the City of Tulsa says it's approved 6 rental applications, denied six with several others still pending.
