TULSA, Oklahoma - The Oilers open up the 2017-18 season Friday night at home against Kansas City.

It's the start of a new era for Tulsa; Rob Murray is in his first year as coach, first year as a St. Louis Blues affiliate and excitement is high.

"You're looking at all new faces, you're looking at a new affiliation, things are going to be done differently,” said Oilers defenseman Dennis Brown. “Everything about it is exciting."

Murray added, "The game is fast. It's still physical, yet, you have to be able to skate, and that's the kind of team I'm always looking to get and hopefully we've got that."
