Tulsa students are learning how their food gets to their table.

The farm-to-market project let TPS elementary students get up close and personal with cows and chickens.

and they learned how plants grow.

TPS hopes by seeing where food comes from, the students may be more interested in healthy options.

"They don't really know where a chicken or an egg come from, and a lot of them think eggs are dairy," said Taylor Horn-Speck, TPS Dietitian.

At the end of the day, students get to take home a starter vegetable plant so they can watch it grow.
