A police chase ended with the driver crashing out and flipping the car early Tuesday near Northwest Expressway and Meridian Avenue.

The chase ended in a violent crash after the suspect collided with an innocent driver.

Police are commending a vigilant citizen who saw a reckless female driver and called 911.

Police said the citizen went as far as to follow the woman for four miles while on the phone with police.

"She was swerving and almost hit the median at one point, and past him in what he estimated to be over 100 mph," Oklahoma City police Lt. Matt Berger said.

After the call, police were able to trace the driver and clocked her at 70 mph while blowing through a red light.

Police told News 9 she refused to stop and entered Warr Acres before returning to Oklahoma City. About a mile into the chase, the driver crashed into an elderly driver sending her black Mercedes into a spin before rolling.

Police aren't sure if the intoxicated woman was ejected from her vehicle, but said she didn't appear injured. Her name was not released Tuesday morning.

The other driver went to St. Anthony's in unknown condition.
